Newbie Committed to Healthy Lifestyle

Hi, I'm new, just made my profile today. I finally took the leap from half-committing to my health and weight loss, to full time focus on making a lifestyle change.
Since childhood I've been overweight and have done EVERY diet you can think of, but only now am I really serious about getting healthy. I guess the inspiration comes from me not wanting to feel like I'm just coasting through my life anymore. I want to be fully active and present in my life and do the things I enjoy and not be held back. Also, diabetes and heart disease run in my family, and I have first-hand witnessed the dangers of mis-managing your health. I'm only 23 and I don't want a future of doctor's appointments and hospital visits. I also want to help friends and family to achieve their fitness goals by leading by example.
So far, I've been sticking to my commitment: 4 weeks and counting! Very excited to be on this journey and hopefully connect with other people striving for the same thing!
