I need help...

I started trying to lose weight in January of 2011, at the time I weighed 138, I tried to eat clean, but not really, I ate ok and I did exercise plus lots of activity during the day.... never lost a pound.... I didn't take measurement so I have no clue if I lost inches but my clothes never fit different, so probably not, gave up and immediately gained up to 155 almost overnight.... really hadn't changed my eating but I wasn't exercising anymore.

Fast forward to this year, determined to not look this way anymore, I was desperate, wanted to get into decent shape before the family vacation in August, should have been plenty of time to lose 15-20 pounds atleast and then I would do the other 5 or so pounds after vacation, but I can't even get back to the 138 that I started at last year.....ughhh !!!

Started on the Liquid amino diet... lost 10 pounds in two weeks... wow this is great... but i'm hungry all the time so the diet coach says I can follow their active plan and exercise but I will need to eat a little more and up the LAD drop dosage to continue losing weight. Did not work... weight loss stopped....

Purchased a fitbit, stopped taking the LAD drops, did a great job of doing my morning exercises (tapout) and getting my 10,000 steps and 20 floors a day..... no weight loss to speak of but I was losing inches. And yes I know inches is good, but I also know that I look best at 115 pounds and be mostly muscle, because I was there for years....even after having my kids.

Purchased a heart rate monitor to dial in on my calories burned, as my activity level varies wildly .... this is when I decide I really need help....as of last week I had finally gotten down to 141, still hungry so starting trying to go by the calculations given here, and I decided that I wasn't eating enough and upped my calories and now I am up at 143..... this is so frustrating.....I keep reading that I'm not supposed to be hungry, but most days I'm eating almost clean and starving. I will never ever be able to go without some sort of chocolate, if I have to get rid of that I will just have to be fat.

Yesterday I didn't wear the HRM while I slept, but when I went to bed it was showing that I had worn it for 13 hours and had burned 2500 calories. I decided to wear it again last night for a full 24 hours, so this morning it says that I burned over 800 calories in my sleep, will have to see what it says at midnight to get an idea for the day.... but as I said before, my activity levels vary wildly day to day.

I need to know that if I"m going by my HRM and not by a set formula, how many calories should I be eating below what this HRM says, without knowing my activity level I find it hard to believe that just punching in a couple numbers to fit my lifestyle for every day is not going to work for me.... some days my HRM says I've burned 4500 and others nowhere near that.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to figure this out, before I go back to 1000 calories and LAD ?
