Hi all!
My name is Cortney. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls (2 and 5). I was the girl in HS who always thought I was "fat". Little did I know, I would kill for what I looked like back then. What I thought was "fat" was just a thin me that needed to be toned.
Here I am at 25 years old, two kids later, and needing to turn my life into the fittest and healthiest it can be.
My realization came to be when we got back from vacation the end of June. We ate so awfully while away, that I came home and decided this was it! This was the perfect chance to change the game. My hardest problem was I severely sprained my foot only a week prior. Torn ligaments and all. I knew I would have to start slow. I am not a big girl by anymeans, but I have terrible problem areas. My biggest are the weakend muscles caused by 4 pregnancies (2 miscarriages in addition to my girls). My husband is very supportive, but I think hes getting annoyed with me tracking every single thing I put in my mouth. I didnt track Saturday because I took that day off for my body to recoup.
So here I am , exactly 3 weeks of eating right, and exercising multiple times a day, I have lost 6 lbs. Ticker says less because I started tracking only 2 weeks ago. I do Turbo Jam and am on level 2 of the 30 day shred. I started level 1 on the 12th of July, and only after 1 week moved to level 2. Im not really counting the days. I am more focused on my strength and endurance to give me a clue to move up. I used to run and loved it, but my foot doesnt allow the impact that running gives. I have to baby that foot for hard crazy impact moves. I think Turbo Jam actually has been acting like a rehabilitator , because I have come a LONG way already with impact and improving my moves.
Anyway, that was a little bit about me. I'd love a buddy too!

kids are great motivators and setting an example for them is so important. today, my son wanted to do my squats with me. he counted while i did sets of 20, then i counted while he did his. the perfect motivation was hearing "keep going dad, only 7 more" especially since his subtraction was wrong and it was really only 6!
in the months that i have been doing this, i have noticed my son eating better, making some better choices when he can have a snack (just yesterday he asked for carrots instead of french fries at a local restaurant, altho i have NEVER done that) and wants to walk and ride his bike to the store instead of drive. love that he is turning off the tv and taking walks with me!
good luck to you.0 -

My oldest too would rather eat hummus and veggies than chips and dip anyday! She really has been a decent eater , but I see her making choices on her own more often! Of course she will ask for a cookie every now and then (what kid doesnt?), and I do believe in moderation. But for the most part, she really is my biggest motivator. I was in a snacking mood yesterday and while looking in the pantry, she said "mom there is fruit in the crisper!" Thanks kid0 -
I should also mention that I will only accept friend requests from women I need motivation and support from someone who knows how a womans body works0
