HELP!!
I so need to join a support group with a goal in mind to lose 20lbs by Christmas. Does anyone know of one out there? I am soooo at the end of my rope and actually seem to be gaining weight since I signed up.
I need structure and accountability and HAVE to shed this fat.
I'm hopelessly falling into a black hole and just need the support of a kicka$$ support group.:flowerforyou:

Look on the "Motivation and Support" board. There are lots of groups. Read the posts and see which group looks like one that you would like to join. Then post and say that you want to join. Then participate in their discussions and post every day.
There is a group with weight loss goal for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, other groups by age or food or fitness plan or starting weight, or just groups with catchy names.
And drink water while you're reading. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
Good luck.   :bigsmile:0 -
Falling into a black hole? Wow,,, Sometimes it's a long trip from knowing what to do and actually doing it, huh?
This is easy and hard all at the same time - you know what to do:
Cook smart, lotsa good filling stuff. Some fruits, lotsa veggies, some grains-cereals, some starchy stuff, some lean meat. Almost nothing fried (and certainly nothing batter dipped & deep fried), and very very little pastry/cakey stuff.
Count your calories accurately with the food guide here, and stay as close to your calorie allowance as you reasonably can. If you cook properly you shouldn't be too uncomfortable on the calorie allowance MFP will give you.
Get some exercise - work that gym, walk a little every day, something - that's a huge help. Remember to log your exercise and eat at least some (I eat most) of your exercise calories.
And drink your water!
That's it, piece o' cake. Wife and I have been doing it for about 9 months now and we've done well.
You can do it too, I know you can. :bigsmile:0 -
don't give up, you can do this.0
