Well the last few weeks I have burnt an average of about 6000 calories per week. I'm pretty sure that only Tour De France winner Bradley Wiggins matched that sort of feat! But do your best and let's see your weekly calorie burn stats. Here's mine:

Age: 47
Activities: Football, cycling, weights, spinning
Calories burnt per week: 5994

    I've got you beat:

I did 15 minutes of HIIT, so that is 147,000 calories including the afterburn...

Aged 52 and last week through rowing, cycling, running, Spin class, Pilates class and boxing class I burned 6332 calories, only trained 4 days as a calf problem kept me away from the gym on the other 2 days I had planned to go. On the first 2 days of this week through Spin, Pilates, rowing, bike and running I have burned 3153 so far, with another 3 workouts remaining for this week. It's intense each week but it's part of the reason why I've dropped 82lbs in 20 weeks.

So are all you heavy burners eating those calories back? That's like an extra 1,000 calories per day. What and how do you eat to make up for that?

    Yeah good point

Averaged out it's about an extra 800 a day

My TDEE is 1810 so 2610 to maintain

Take 500 a day off to lose a pound a week and that's 2110 - not a lot of calories compared to what I was eating

    Beer is always the answer.

Beer is a good one. I had a party to go to on Sat. and knew I was gonna have a few cocktails. I did a 20 mile bike ride and that helped even it out.

EAT. then eat more. Ask anyone actively trying to gain muscle on a heavy resistance training template. One you start getting decently strong, its absurd the amount of calories you need to eat. I was eating 4-5k a day for me to gain. Good things to do include adding lean ground beef to everything you eat, lots of milk. Olive oil added to everything. lots of nuts. Pasta is cheap and very calorie dense. Things like this.

For things like tour de france riders, they are at 8k calories a day while racing. For things like ultra endurance, its pretty much straight up gatoraide to get a constant supply of carbs to the body.

I eat some of them back, up to about half of them. I couldn't eat them all these days without going back to eating crappy food again. What I do eat leaves me feeling satisfied and full of energy to go again the next day.

    I'm 22
    I wear my hrm

my activities are: heavy lifting (35 min), I swap between (50 minutes of insanity upper body training and 60 minutes of tae bo), and 30 minutes of bootcamp abs

Total daily burn is 2,000 cals, I do it 6 times a week, so 12,000 cals. I win.

I eat back what I can, but I can't force feed myself.

I asked if you were single because as a married man and father of four and six year old girls there is no way I could possibly dedicate that much time to working out even if I had the energy. I have not had a workout load like that in twenty years.

My condolences on your loss. No offence was meant.

No offence was tsken. My training partner, who does the same workouts as I do is married with 2 children aged 11 and 6. Our training is done during the day as we both work nights
