Question about daily calorie intake

Options
So I'm counting calories and working out. Now when I log my workouts in it gives me more calories to intake. For instance my daily calorie goal is 1400 and I work out 300 calories it gives me 300 more calories to eat, thus telling me I should consume 1700. Should I be consuming more or not? I thought the whole point of cutting calories/working out was to lose weight, so I'm a bit confused!

Whatever you've set yourself to lose is already built into the plan

So if you set yourself to lose 2 lbs per week... the 1700 includes that deficit. When you exercise you are creating a BIGGER deficit and you need to eat those calories back. It's like a bonus.

Aye. MFP makes its calculations based solely on diet. When you exercise, you can eat more in the day.

Thanks for the help! Should I be complaining that I have to eat more? LOL.
