Getting enough calories with "healthy" food

So I did the "impossible": I hit my weight loss goal. It was only 10 lbs but as some of you may know, those last few pounds can be the hardest. Now, because I'm no longer trying to lose, my daily calorie count has gone up (from 1340 to 1800). However, because I got used to eating healthier and cutting calories, I find it hard to eat all the calories I need without eating junk food. I know that sounds weird but it's true, especially when I exercise. This may seem like a dream scenario to some but I'm trying to tone and gain some muscle and I know not getting enough calories can inhibit my goal.

Basically, I want to know if there are some foods that are maybe a little more calorie dense but not gross, processed mess. And I'm also curious if anyone else has had this issue before?

Nuts (including peanut butter), olives, avocado are three that come to mind.

Oh, and also bananas, especially if you're working your muscles.

Nuts, beans, whole grains are all pretty calorie dense while being good for you.

    extra virgin olive oil
    butter
    coconut oil/milk
    salmon
    full fat dairy
    nuts

All very calorie dense, you only need a few tiny servings per day and you can easily add on 300-500good quality calories.

Welcome to my world. I've noticed when I'm allowed more calories I go overboard and think a dessert sounds awesome. Of course that completely negates any good I've done in the losing weight dept. I'd just say try to find healthy foods you like and don't limit them as much as you used to (for caloric reasons). In other words, if you like raw almonds don't limit yourself to half a serving, go for the whole serving even though they're 190 calories. They're good calories.
  • I've noticed that I've been allowing myself too much food, because I got "half a pound" mixed with "half a kilogram" (darn imperial measurements, only two countries in the world use them.)

I have no problems eating less calories, it is the fat and carbohydrate I often go near or over target with. I find if a food (fruit, starch or other non-vegetable stuff) has low fat, it is high carb, or vice versa. But if I decide to chow down on veggie sticks, the calories end up being too low.

I've still lost a significant amount of weight since I started in June, even with slightly higher carbs and fat.

I am interested too. I have major issues with not eating enough calories in a day and I just feel like i could not eat another bite most days

I got the same problem. I added some supplements in between meals and try to get an extra meal whenever I can.
