Role Models?

I find it really helpful to have visual motivation - seeing my treadmill and weights in my family room, seeing my healthy grocery list on the fridge, keeping the scale out in the bathroom. Just little reminders to be healthy. I'm currently working on an inspiration board of things that motivate me (a person hiking, a baby since I'm trying to be healthier to get pregnant, someone at the beach since I won't be caught dead there at this weight). One thing I'm missing is a role model. I can't look back on my life and say "I wish I looked like I did in HS" because I was overweight back then too. I can't have a goal outfit because I just can't see myself getting to it, it's not hopeful. So I'm trying to think of a healthy role model to put on my board. It doesn't have to be a celebrity, it definitely shouldn't be someone "skinny". I'm looking for a healthy, toned, average type of woman that I can look at and say if I work hard I could get there too. Does that make sense?

Anyone have role models that work for them?

This is interesting because I'm in a similar situation. I was very athletic in high school but still very overweight. The truth is I'm not sure I could pick a role model as an inspiration because I have no idea what my body is going to look like. I wouldn't want to think I may be shaped like someone then discover I'm totally wrong. Though I do have a friend who is a body builder and I would give a lot for those arms!!!

You are right, we really have no clue what our bodies are going to look like. I guess I'm not looking for someone to look like, but someone who is very healthy (not just thin). Someone who promotes nutrition, working out, and a healthy outlook/attitude. Maybe that's too much to ask but it would really inspire!
