Who knew? A push mower!

Okay, most have heard the old stories from grandparents about how they had to mow their lawns with push mowers. Well, one night while watching the show " I want that!" on DIY? My husband and I saw the Fiskars push mower. I thought it a bit intriguing since our mower had been patched up by my hubby numerous times. Well last week, we caved and decided to buy a new mower for the small part of the back lawn that the riding mower won't get. I talked him into the Fiskars mower-never have to buy gas, the kids can push it- blah, blah. Well, today, my " rest day" I decided to mow the entire lawn with the push mower. The grass had gotten long in most places so I mowed over twice, but going at a decent walking pace it took me an hour and 41 minutes. I wore my HRM because I was curious. I was shocked when I finished and looked down to see 987 calories burned. Who knew? I am excited! That's more than I burn doing Ripped in 30 ;)
