My right calf is bigger than the left one?

I just noticed my right calf is like 0.25-0.5 inches bigger that the left. I always assumed they were about the same size when taking measurements so I didn't usually measure both, until today. The right side of my body has always been the dominant side so I guess I shouldn't be surprised... but has anyone else noticed this? Now that I look in the mirror it seems glaringly obvious to me and it's sorta bugging me hoping some exercises that isolate the left leg can help with this.

My right bicep, thigh and calf is bigger than my left side as well. Sometimes up to an inch difference! It isn't really noticeable to me though, or at least I haven't stood in the mirror long enough to notice. :laugh:0

My right arm is way "buffer" ( yah I just called myself buff lol) It's not my exercise that does it, I evenly give my left arm the same amount of reps, it's the daily things i never remember to lift stuff with the other arm.0

We're our own worst critics. Don't sweat it. You're probably the only one that notices it. I think it's just the dominant side thing you mentioned mixed with genetics. My right arm is always about .25" bigger than my left no matter what I do and you can see the vein in my right bicep easily but the left doesn't show unless I'm working out. Then again the vascularity in my left forearm is much more noticeable.
One thing to do with the strength exercise would be to make sure and do calf isolation exercises where you do one leg at a time along with calf exercises that work together. That's probably the best way to ensure that they're as even as possible but it's pretty difficult to make sure they're exactly the same size.
I know a girl with one ear that's quite a bit different than the other but it doesn't stop her from being pretty. Keep smiling and doing your thing and don't sweat the small stuff.0 -
my right calf, quad and hip are slightly larger than my left while my left bicep and tricep are larger and stronger even though I'm right handed.
So I feel your pain.0 -
I've noticed this too. And my right shoulder and arm are way more muscular from doing lots of decorating (used to be a part of my job). You're probably the only person who will ever notice the slight asymmetry, and I'm sure no-one will mind.
Edited to correct typo0 -
You clearly need to start masturbating with the other foot.
Now thats funny right there, i dont care who you are...0 -
my right arm and left leg are both bigger than the other side0

I use to know a girl who had one butt cheek bigger then the other.
She was a dancer and would squeeze one side tighter then the other.0 -
Well glad it's not just me! And I probably am the only one who's every noticed it about myself. My smile is asymmetrical too but no one has ever pointed it out to me, until I point it out first lol... should probably stop doing this before everyone knows all my flaws.0

its perfectly normal to favor one side ever so slightly
dont sweat it
my whole left side of my body is bigger and more defined than my right. Chest, biceps, quads, hams, calves, EVERYTHING0 -
I don't think anyone will be able to get past your sweet smile to notice it.0

My entire right ride is slightly larger. It's been true my entire life, and no one has ever commented about it, ever. I'm pretty sure it's just not noticeable. I do measure both arms, calves, and thighs for that reason though :P.0
