donating blood

Obviously I don't want to pass out when I'm donating blood, so should I ignore MFP for the day I plan on donating? Or is it safe to "diet" while donating? Thanks~

I've never had a problem, I like to eat the cookies they offer (I still log it)0

As long as you eat before and after you give blood you should be fine.
And if you're going to exercise do it WAY before you donate.0 -
Another thing you could consider is something I do that is also offered at the Red Cross which is donating Platelets. It takes longer but they give you a movie to watch on your own little tv, use a smaller needle and only take part of your blood then return the rest so you don't feel all drained afterwards, I work out an hour before and then I'm back in the gym the next day. Ask about it next time you go0

I agree that as long as you eat before and after, and are not doing or training for endurance sports, you will be fine.0

i don't log on donation days. I just listen to what my body wants.0
