Calories burnt in tabata class

I know its hard to know how many calories are burnt without a heart rate monitor, but I can't even find anything to estimate with. I just got home from my first tabata class at the gym and let me tell you, it was insane.
It was literally pushing me to my very limit for the entire hour. I just don't know how many calories it really burnt. I've heard around 700 but I was just wondering if anyone actually knew. I'm in high school, 5'6 and weigh around 140 pounds if it makes a difference.
thanks for any help!

Tabata for an hour? That's...not tabata. Weird.0

well its the concept....its really intense moves for 20 seconds with a 10 second break for 8 rounds of that move. Then after that 8 rounds we did it with a different move. Its called tabata haha Idk0

That is Tabata but most classes usually only last about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour tops. I've heard average 300-400 calories with the normal 20 to 30 minutes so if you did an hour then 700 seems about right.0
