    Everyone is different.

    Start weight: 205
    Pants Size: 18 (very snug!)
    Shirt Size: XXL

    Current weight: 187
Pants Size: 18 (comfy, loose but not baggy or falling off)
    Shirt Size: XL

    Good luck!!
  • It really does vary greatly from person to person. I am really bottom heavy, and have jumped up and down in my weight loss.

A couple of years ago I was about 212lbs (lost around 60ishlbs) and in a size 16 pant and a L top. Now at 219lbs I am in a size 18/20 pant and a M top.

At my heaviest in December I was 346lbs and in a size 24 pant and size XXL shirt.

I started at the end of April, I'm 5ft 5, was 227, wearing size 18 and they were getting tight.
Now, July 25, I'm down 24lbs, lost 3 inches around my waist, I'm wearing 16s. I actually have
one pair of 14s that fit good. My other 14s I can get them on and button, but they are too tight
    to wear.

I was always told a stone (14lbs) per dress size. The problem is that we all continue to squeeze ourselves into thing that are really too small - I at the moment am wearing everything from a size 26 down to a 20, depending on where it came from, the material it is made of and how much I like it (Uk sizes)
I would say not to worry about the number - Have a try on session every 14lbs and if it is too big get rid of it.

I would agree with this. It usually takes around 15 pounds to drop a size comfortably. With vanity sizing so prevalent now it's sometimes pretty hit and miss. I started in early May at 166 lbs and am currently sitting at 149. My trousers have dropped from a 10 or 12 depending on brand to fitting an 8 with room to actually breathe! Good luck

sizes are so mixed up these days it really does depend where you get it from. I'd agree that having a try on every 14lbs is a good idea, I started to fit into my old jeans after about 14lbs and they were a dress size below what I had been wearing.

Thanks so much MFPals.. Every 15 pounds I'll try a smaller size and see what happens. I'm very bottom heavy so hope it goes well

I went from an tight 18 to a loose 12 in around 30 pounds so that averages to about 10 pounds a size
