Good morning! Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend and is ready for the start of a new week. Any big plans for the week? How about a new exercise you might try? Making fitness FUN will help you to look forward to it, not dread it. Enjoy your fitness regimine!

Okay, so Saturday I jogged/ran on the treadmill at my hotel for 30 min. That was pretty fun! Then yesterday I walked for a few hours. Both days I drank all of my water and took my vitamins & meds. I so appreciate my chart for keeping me on track. I really don't know if I would do all I need to do without that accountability piece! I went shopping for my chart reward while I was gone this weekend and ended up with 2 pair of jeans and 3 bras. I guess I got a little extra rewad this time!

+++POSITIVE THOUGHTS+++!!! :flowerforyou:

Yesterday, I was preparing for an Oscar night pizza party - at someone's house that make great brownies. I was picking up the pizza, so I could get my whole wheat & feta. I worked extra hard for those brownies though, and she didn't make them! Found some chocolate and zagnut in her fridge though (before you think I'm a totally rude guest, we've known each other for over 20 years and raid each other's fridge all the time).

Anyway, I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (incline) and 40 minutes on the elliptical, burning over 700 calories.

Today is weight-training class and spinning and walking there and back. (grand total: 1 hr, 50 min.) (tomorrow's my husband's birthday, and we're going out. I want dessert.)

Still trying to justify purchasing a heart-rate monitor watch. I'm such a gadget nerd. Also, this maintenance thing is weird. . .I know, I know. . .woe to me. I just want to make sure I'm not under/over eating. I checked on one, and they're pricier up here (Canada) than in the states, so that made me think harder about it. . .

But, I digress. . .happy Monday!

And yeah, the Oscars. . .those were some buff arms on a lot of the ladies. I used to think Nicole Kidman had such a great body. . .but she looked "skinny-fat". . .no muscle mass. And red was the color of the evening, no? (sorry. . .Hollywood is my vice.)

Viviakay - I want one too - so, since I hate weights, if I do weights 3x a week for a month, I get one! I was having a hard time with the reward system since I didn't want anything, but now I found something.

I noticed a lot of arms last night. I'll get there. It just won't be on a 5'9" /120 lb body.

Hi all!! My home computer was wonky this weekend so I didn't get a chance to check in because it took more than 20 minutes just to get on-line :noway: I was so busy, I just gave up  dh says it is working fine this a.m. - go figure! This weekend kicked my hinnie. I was super busy and Sat night we didn't get home until almost 1 a.m. and got up early to go to church bc I promised a friend I would help her in the nursery. Didn't eat my best - was late eating dinner last night so had Wendy's Single w/ fries - didn't eat all the fries LOL. Didn't work out this a.m. because I am still trying to recover! But I should be good to go tomorrow! Then have to leave the house at 5 a.m. on Wed - don't think I'll get much exercise in and will be traveling 2 hrs each way for a meeting. :ohwell: Hmmm, gonna be an interesting week!! Hope y'all are doing well!! - Kim

Hey! Happy Monday! At least it hasn't been bad so far. I am about to do 45 minutes of Taebo. I am also doing laundry, cleaning and going out to work on my camaro when my son goes down for a nap. So when it's all said and done I should burn over 500 calories today. I've got to get my eating back on track. I've been so hungry! I've had to balance my eating with burning it all off! Don't know that I've done that well. I've never craved morning snacks but this past week I have wanted peanut butter Fiber One bars mid-morning! Ugh! I'm getting back in the saddle today I hope. Gotta get movin!

    Kim,
Don't despair! I spent so many hours driving this weekend that I looked it up. 90 min = 125 cal! I knew I wasn't imagining that I was tired after road trips

Don't completely skip today; promise me you'll do 30 minutes of something: cleaning, cooking, push-ups, crunches, squats, lunges... YOU CAN DO IT! You don't want to face the regret tomorrow of skipping today! :flowerforyou:

Core strength training this morning with my new weights boy are they making it tougher I can really feel the burn I thought my arms were strong but I find 2 of the move pretty tough I know give it a couple of weeks and they will be easy - I hope.

Went for a walk this morning the weather is rubbish here today really windy so I probably burnt a few extra cals pushing the pram against the wind it maked my legs ache so I definately worked harder than usual and we walk the same way everyday.

I am still feeling really positive after losing 4lbs last week (finally I think my body has caught up with my mind and is joining me on this lifestyle of health and fitness) I am looking forward to this week because I hope i will lose a bit more still working hard.

Elliptical tomorrow and looking forward to it.

Yea I'm back from my mini-vacation to my mothers. It's one way of enforcing no bad workouts for my back. Unfortunately she likes to bake. Oh well, today is another day. All I can claim for workouts today is driving a manual school bus twice a day for a total of two hours and my PT exercises. Maybe I can get my hubby to drag out my treadmill for me tonight, its too heavy for me to move. :grumble: But on the upnote I don't hurt as much as I did last week:bigsmile: Enjoy the rest of your day. If I am lucky tomorrow will be a snow day for us.

Phew -- just enough time for a quick check-in.

Did one nonstop hour at the gym this morning.

Biked 25 min, then weights for 20 min., then situps/ stretching for 15.

Started a new job today and just found out I'll be on the road for three months, starting (eeep) Wednesday!!!!

I've got to remember to pack my resistance bands and download some yoga videos before I go. It's soooooo tough to make the effort to work out in a hotel room!

Just sat down after a very busy day. We have two days of bad weather coming with up to 16 inches of snow so I've been preparing to be housebound with more than a few toddlers. Between my Biggest Loser DVD's and shoveling and shopping, I have burned over 900 calories:drinker:

Whohoo! Finally an easy week at work... I have several 1/2 days so I will be able to swim & lift a few times. I feel like the past two weeks ran me ragged, so I finally get to focus on me & my workouts

workout, vitamin, water! 3 for 3 :drinker:
