I am starting my second week on MFP. I lost 4 lbs last week. I started walking about 3 weeks ago and my friend introduced me to MFP last week and it has been a great! I am much more aware of what I am eating. I want to lose about 110 pounds. I am hoping to get some encouragement for any low points I may reach over the next year or so. I have always been a yo-yo dieter but now I am trying to change my eating habits permenantly. Please add me as a friend if you are new and need some help staying movtivated or if you have been around a while and have some good advice for the tough times.

Any thoughts about what to purchase to monitor my exercise? At this point I am only walking and was thinking about buying a pedometer to measure my MPH to accurately report back to MFP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bought a fitbit in June and I really like it. It is very small, but I like the information I get throughout the day about steps, miles walked, calories burned, etc. I also use it to track my sleep. Useful website. . all your info uploads and is saved so you can see your progress over time.
