Do a lot of you use the protein powders? I see post all along with reference to using them. What type to you use. Do brands make a difference? Do some taste a lot better than others. Do the ones at Walmart work for you or do you buy them online? I have never bought any so I don't know which brand and what flavors to buy.
Would love to hear some opinions before I strike out to buy anything.....

I bought mine at Walmart tbh, it doesn't have many carbs and tastes really good. I'm not too sure if it is stalling my weight loss though, so I am giving it the rest of the week, and if I still haven't lost or have gained I am cutting them out. I use a chocolate flavor, generally add a piece of fruit or peanut butter, and use it as a meal replacement in the morning. I am doing low-carb and find it just easier then making eggs and bacon first thing in the morning.0

I didn't use a protein powder until I stopped eating meat as I knew I wasn't getting enough protein from my normal diet. I now use a protein powder in my morning smoothie.
I have tried a few brands (various ones can range from $10 - $100 depending on where you live). I loved one called Muscle Maxx (vanilla flavour) that I bought at Walmart for about $15 canadian. They were sold out when I went back so I got a Sportzone Natural Vanilla from Shoppers Drug Mart and love it as well! It's not as sweet as the Muscle Maxx one but still very good.
I have tried Body Fortress Chocolate (about $14 for a large container of it) but wasn't very fond of the taste. I can only drink it mixed with a lot of things or mixed with a scoop of chocolate meal replacement powder.
If you haven't had any before try emailing the companies and asking for a sample. It's better than spending money on a tub and hating the taste. If you can't get samples buy the small containers until you find one you like. They taste much better mixed with things. Vanilla protein powders are great mixed with water, fruit and yogurt. People love chocolate mixed with coffee, peanut butter, bananas etc.0
