Probably plateaued

I've been so diligent about keeping under 1200 for the last month. I've slowly lost a few ounces regularly throughout this period, to the point where I lost 5 pounds and am wearing pants I haven't been able to fit in for years. But today when I weighed myself I gained a pound. I feel as if my 60-year old body doesn't want to go under 115 pounds. Seriously. And to many 115 will sound really thin but at 4'11" with a small frame I was hoping to lost a few more.
I know the answer is probably exercise but I just hate it. I'll keep up my weekly yoga and maybe do a wee bit of walking.
But I'm rethinking my goal now and thinking if I can keep using MFP and keep it to 1200 I can maintain my new weight and that will be a big accomplishment for me. That is, be satisfied with the slimmer me and not expect to be skinny at this point in my life, but try to keep the pounds from creeping back.

Hi There - judging from your age, weight and activity level to loose weight you need to be eating less than 1198 calories a day - you can work this out for your self using a BMR calculator - basically i just did it for your age/height and weight and it says for fat loss you should aim for 958 calories a day - hope that helps :-)0

Thanks, it's useful to know how to figure out how to lose weight by one's BMI. I must be honest and say I don't think I can eat less than 1000 calories a day. I just personally couldn't handle doing that.
The only way I can see getting under 1000 is via exercise and that'd be a big change in how I operate --- but it is possible....
Thanks again.0 -
I think it's completely unhealthy to eat under 1200 calories so I was surprised when I did your BMR it was 1152. So at least it was higher then the other poster..lol
I couldn't imagine not starving eating at 1200 calories or below it. Don't forget on the days you do yoga to log it
But your body might be comfortable at the weight you are now and that extra pound could be water..

Hi its up to you how you want to proceed, I dont personally think it sounds like you need to loose anymore but you asked how to loose weight not whether you should.
Its either eat less or excersize! I always choose eat less which is probs not the best thing but I am not a sporty person and.i cant run in heels! ;-)
Good luck with whatever you decide.0
