I'm addicted to the DEVILS Trilogy (Flour Sugar and Fat)

I read somewhere that White flour, sugar and fat are as addictive as cocaine. I could never have just ONE biscuit ( cookie) from the packet, I have to eat the whole packet. One cake are you mad !!!! And who in the right mind eats the serving suggesting of 30g of cereal. I pour it out and half the box is gone.
I've gone cold turkey for the last 10 days and its hasn't been easy ( to tell you the truth its been bloody awful ) but it's getting better.
Will I be like ex alcoholic or an ex smoker , just one doughnut away from being addicted again ?

Flour, Sugar, and Fat are not bad for you by themselves. It's the overeating in general that is the cause for concern. There is no issue with having them in moderation, if YOU can do so. I can have one cookie with no issue, but that is not the truth for everyone. If you are unable to learn moderation with these foods, then you may have to keep them away.0

I actually eat the serving size when I do eat cereal.0

NO! I did the same thing for a month. No longer have the cravings. Keep it up...it DOES work, as long as you are committed to your program. If you need a friend, feel free to add me!0

I wish my best friend's ex could get over his cocaine addiction as simply as I dealt with my binge eating. I mean, aside from the "it could kill you" part, there's also the added humiliation of being addicted to coke. I mean, hello, 1987 called and it wants its drugs back. You know, I bet there's not a day goes by that man doesn't wish he was addicted to meth or painkillers.
If you're a binge eater, odds are you'll find something to binge on at some point. Better to focus on why you need to eat an entire package of biscuits than condemning the biscuits as Satan's own turds. I agree with you on the cereal though - I am yet to find a serve of fruit loops satisfying. Better to switch to porridge. Possibly, eating fluoro food is not all that healthy. I do have to wonder what you're going to do when you can't deal with not having all the things you crave. Why not allow yourself a small piece of cake a week or a packet of chips or a few biscuits; pick your poison, enjoy a small amount of it while out and then enjoy a week the rest of the week sans tempting foods. Far better than snapping and inhaling a 12 pack of danishes.0 -
Hang in there. Moderation is nice in theory, but it doesn't work for everyone.
I've found that completely cutting out those "trigger" foods, and eating lots of healthy stuff had adjusted my entire system, and the bad stuff doesn't even taste as good as it did before... Once in a while now, I'll have of pizza or something fried and it tastes "just OK", but completely tears up my insides!0 -
I know I will eat cake and biscuits again but long term will I be able to stick with moderation. How I love chocolate Hobnobs. MMMmmm Always start off with great intentions but the little devil that sits on my shoulder keeps whispering in my ear " One more won't hurt"0

Thanks for the encouragement it's nice to know other people understand.
I don't over eat because I have a bad mother ( well, thinking about it lol ) or I'm unhappy about something. I just love the taste of all things made with flour sugar and fat.0
