When I was watching the Biggest Loser the other night they mentioned staying away from mangos, bananas, and melons. Why??? I thought all fruit was okay or at least in moderation. I have lost 50 pounds and am going on a cruise in 5 weeks and want to loose at least 10 more pounds before I go.
Any suggestions for some hard core weight loss in 5 weeks. Thanks is advance

I think it has something to do with the very high sugar content of these fruits - it can make you feel hungrier, not more satisfied. I could be wrong, though. Hope this helps.0

They were eating Dinner........for me I try to stay away from simple carbs after 4 or 5 pm.......those fruits have a high amount of quickly available sugars...........good for post work out, but not so good when you are going to bed in a few hours.
Before eating any fruit you should consider your sugar intake for the day. I love fruit! But I dont eat sugar in any other form (except Milk)0 -
It is the fructose in those particular fruits. some fruits are sweeter than others and should eaten earlier in the day. However, if the fruits you like are some they mentioned, pinneaple, grapes, melon, bananas and mango and you don't like other fruits you can and should eat these it is just recommended to eat your fruit earlier in the day that way you have longer to work it off.
They did mention berries for dinner or dessert time.0
