hi everyone :)

so i’m new to all things related to fitness, and healthy eating. for most of my life i was pretty slim, and didn’t have to work at it…then college came and with that the pounds. now that i’ve graduated I find myself gaining even more weight now that i spend the majority of my day sitting down at a desk. my goal is to lose 20 pounds, but more than that i’d like to live a more healthy and energetic lifestyle. any tips or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated :smile:

    oh the dreaded college weight... i'm a few years older than you and am still trying to drop it... but kudos to figuring it out before i did... i look forward to watching your progress

  • Hi Angi. I'm Mark. Welcome to MFP! My best advice to you is to stay focused. Also, nutrition wise, avoid excessive sodium. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from soda. I count calories, so it might work good for you too. Also, stay active. Hope this helps. You can add me if you'd like.
