so i’m new to all things related to fitness, and healthy eating. for most of my life i was pretty slim, and didn’t have to work at it…then college came and with that the pounds. now that i’ve graduated I find myself gaining even more weight now that i spend the majority of my day sitting down at a desk. my goal is to lose 20 pounds, but more than that i’d like to live a more healthy and energetic lifestyle. any tips or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated

oh the dreaded college weight... i'm a few years older than you and am still trying to drop it... but kudos to figuring it out before i did... i look forward to watching your progress

Hi Angi. I'm Mark. Welcome to MFP! My best advice to you is to stay focused. Also, nutrition wise, avoid excessive sodium. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from soda. I count calories, so it might work good for you too. Also, stay active. Hope this helps. You can add me if you'd like.0
