Fitbit, anyone?

Does anyone here use a Fitbit or Bodybugg? How do you like it? Is it worth the initial investment? If you've tried both, did you find that you like one more than the other? I'm trying to keep myself motivated and am thinking about one or the other. The Fitbit seems less expensive plus there doesn't appear to be a monthly fee to log info to the web. I think the Bodybugg is slightly more expensive and there's a fee associated with accessing the web info. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just ordered a Fitbit and am looking forward to getting it. Take a look at the Groups section. There is a Fitbit group that is really helpful.

I have the fitbit and love it. It communicates with MFP and adds calories if I end up burning more than my sedentary settings. I also use a HRM for working out and still wear my fitbit so my steps get counted. I have found that my HRM and my Fitbit are almost giving me the same calorie burn. Example last night did Turbo Fire. HRM said 547 and Fitbit said 550. I have had mine for a month so I am still comparing the numbers. It is really motivating because it makes you want to be more active. That is about all I can tell you. Never used Bodybugg before.
  • I am just about to order one... I can't wait to use it! I am going to the mountains on vacation so I can't wait to see how it does with elevation and all the walking/climbing I will be doing!

Ordering one next week can't wait to try it out, I think I am going to wear it on a necklace so I don't accidentally wash it with my laundry.

but its so small.. and light... when it came off at somepoint that night, i didnt know it. it was gone.

other then the fact I just lost a $100 toy... i was happy with it.

I always wear a watch.. when the watch comes off, i took the fitbit off and clipped it on my watch band. do it enough times, it becomes automatic.

I had the bodybugg and liked it except I got SO tired of people asking what it was and giving me weird looks when I tried to explain it no like the Fitbit a lot better.
