Total = 238, HDL = 89, LDL = 134, Triglycerides = 76

HDL/LDL ratio is 66%, Anything above 40% is GOOD.

Total Cholesterol to HDL ratio is 2.7, BELOW 5 is good.

What are your numbers?

    Mine is:
    Cholesterol total...211
    HDL...34(low)
    Tri...105
    LDL...156(high)

    Chol/HDLC ratio was 6.2 (high)

This is now why I'm on a gluten/dairy free diet per my dr. I really love how my weight has dropped 25lbs. And I have more energy.
I'm going to have my cholesterol rechecked in September. I hope it has improved!!

    Total: 201
    HDL : 45
    TRIG: 98
    LDL : 136

    CHOL/HDLC: 4.5

    HDL/LDL% = 33.08%

All pretty acceptable. Big change in diet over the last few months. I was 260+ total and high LDL levels six months ago.

:drinker: After I stopped eating meat, my total cholesterol dropped almost 30 points. My dad's cholesterol is horrific so I wanted to nip it in the bud early.

I may cut back on meat..not completely! I personally feel women can get a way with cutting back on meat ....but for men eating stimulates the secretion of the hormone glucagon which contribute to raising testosterone levels.

And you know what that means in the grand scheme of things....

Just checked it this past week:

    Total 167

    HDL 36

    LDL 112

    Ratio 4.6

    Non HDL 131

Last November after being on MFP for about 6-8 weeks the Doc took me off cholesterol meds. I had been over 200 total. At the same time he cut my blood pressure meds in half.
I fell off the wagon this past winter but now I'm back stronger and more determined than ever. This time I'm doing a buttload of walking, started c25k, and just picked up a bike a couple weeks ago. Did an 8 mile ride thru the Forest Preserve and burned 600 cals according to my heart rate monitor.
