Hi I'm a newbie here. I have been recently diagnosed with chronic migraines. My question is - has anyone found that increased exercise has helped? I want to get fit and lose some weight, but trust me, when I have a headache - the exercise is not going to happen. I have a treadmill and love it - and am just starting the Couch to 5K program. Any helpful suggestions?

When I have a migraine that's it nothing gets done, if however, I can nip it in the bud before it goes full blown then for me a walk and fresh air definitely helps. Everyone is different though and you will just have to sort it out with trail and error. I would suggest doing less rather than more those days. I have a migraine coming on right now, but I've taken one of my preventatives (hopefully I've caught it in time) and this evening, when the sun has gone down and there's no bright sunlight I'll head out for another walk and that usually helps, maybe the blood flow through the arteries increases flow to the head and helps ease? Hope you feel better soon, they aren't pleasant.
