there are these chocolates in denmark called 'skildpadder'. they are manufactured by toms. anyway, they are little chocolate turtles filled with caramel and a touch of brandy. they really are just heaven.
i love chocolate & sweets, and especially love trying new types. i've been to every capital city here in europe with the main object being to try the local chocolate!

*poutine.
And it's delicious. But combining french fries, cheese curds and gravy does not exactly make it MFP friendly, unfortunately.
I miss kinder eggs, real doner kebab, flammkuchen (alsacian flat bread with creme fraiche, bacon and onions), good beer (it doesn't taste the same imported)....the list goes on and on0 -
Quinoa (yeah I can't find anything here)
Greek Yogurt
Authentic Mexican dishes
Indian food0 -

Oh I also miss German Fanta (a lot like orangina) and Mezzo Mix/Spezi, which is like a mix between that Fanta and Coke.
I will echo above sentiments that I'm kinda glad I can't get these foods here....0 -

I'm in Canada and I want:
Olive Garden (US)
Chili's (US)
REAL Cadbury chocolate (UK!) - the stuff here tastes gross compared to the REAL stuff.
Tesco Chocolate Chip muffins...really random but I LOVE THEM they are SO GOOD. I miss the UK...
Nutty Bars (US but I've recently seen them here so...maybe...)
So basically... I need to move back to the US or the UK.....not that I do not LOVE my home country of Canada...but seriously. I love my Timmies though (Tim Horton's - its a coffee place, I don't drink coffee but I love their foods).. haha.0 -
Schnitzel and Curry-worst...sure you can make it with the recipe but not the same coming off of a cart.0
-
those fibre one brownie bars that are in all my american freinds diaries
loved twirls when i was in ireland
cheese and onion crisps (we don't have that flavour in canada)
authentic mexican food (maybe you can find that in canada, but not my city)0 -

Not sure where you are in Canada but there is a Krispy Kreme relatively close to me but yeah. I looked it up and there are 2 in Ontario and 2 in Quebec so if you're not in either/close to them in the province then yeah you have a problem haha.0 -
Dr Pepper
Soft pretzels
Bagels (can get them here but hella expensive)
Mint M&Ms0 -
Poutain (it's a Canandian dish and I'm sure it is really bad for me)

Ok, I'll second the maple sugar- yummy! And the flavored KitKat bars. My youngest child's nickname is "KitKat" so we are currently afficionadoes of the bar. :-) The dark chocolate ones are yummy, especially frozen. But I digress...........
And, while my favorite food is found in the US and I live in the US, it is only found near the Chesapeake Bay. UTZ Crab Chips- They are Old Bay seasoned potato chips and they are phenomenal. I buy two or three bags when I go home, and I don't share with anyone. They are MINE ALL MINE!!!!!
I don't buy potato chips or really eat them at any other point and time all year. I blow my chip allowance for the year in a week with those babies.0 -

YES that, thank you !! It was delicious and oh so yummy!!!!!!!!0 -
Reece's Pieces! I really can't understand it because we aussies love our peanut butter.
This thread got me thinking though and I've discovered I can get them in bulk for $26.50 (including postage) for a 1.1kg (39 ounce) bag. How does this compare to what I'd pay in the US?0 -
Another Canadian specialty: Cinnabons. But it's just as well we don't have them here: so yummy, but so calorie-laden and unhealthy! I have a recipe that makes a fair approximation but takes enough effort and time that I don't make them often, which is good.0
