NSV: Grocery shopping

When I first started "dieting" I bought everything reduced fat, fat free, diet, or low fat. I wouldn't even consider buying "normal" foods; afterall, I was trying to lose weight. The problem started coming in trying to hit my calories. I was consistently coming in hundreds of calories below my goal (1200), but if I ate a lot more I'd go over my macros (especially carbs).
So today I went grocery shopping. The ONLY fat free food I bought was cottage cheese. I really started comparing the labels and realized that reduced fat cheese was only 20 calories less than regular cheese. It was liberating to know I don't "have to buy diet food" in order to lose weight, and I have enough self control to still hit my calorie goal and not binge.
I'm looking forward to busting out my full flavored chocolate ice cream!
