I have done the 12-week Jamie Eason program and loved it! It helped to have a friend or two join in.

    Keep up the lifting!

Hey, I'm 21 and have been lifting for just over 2 years now. I love it! Feel free to add me :)

My main goals are to get stronger, but also to have some decent muscle! I did a bulk last year to gain some muscle size, just working on fat loss at the moment.

I follow my own lifting program I made up, seems to work just fine. My blog contains the actual routine, (sets, reps weight etc) - link in my profile. Other programs that I've seen recommended on here are:
    - New rules of lifting for women
    - Starting strength
    - Stronglifts 5x5

    female lifter here!

if you're new to lifting, i'd highly recommend Stronglifts 5x5. The program only consists of 5 compound exercises (squats, deadlifts, overhead press, bench press and rows) done just three times a week. the program is created to start the exercises w/ just the bar, but if that's too heavy, you can start with standard dumbbells. once you're able to 5x5 (5 sets of 5 reps) with one weight, you're expected to move up 5lbs, so its constantly a challenge.

here is a very detailed summary of the program http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/560459-stronglifts-5x5-summary

here is a link to the group "Stronglifts 5x5 For Women" http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/4601-stronglifts-5x5-for-women

feel free to send a friend request!

    good luck!!!! :)

I am in my second week of Jamie Eason's Livefit Trainer (12 weeks) and as for now, absolutely loving it. I am also trying really hard to learn more about the nutrition part, even if it takes time I think of this as a life time change not as a quick diet. I hope to keep also the weight lifting as a long term change. Not as something for 1 or 2 months or years. ; ).
