UK female 5'6'' 16lbs to lose (to begin!)

Morning all
I joined up on Monday, have used similar sites in the past and lost weight but haven't kept it off. I'm here again, want to shift at least 14lbs then reevaluate.
I've got an awful 'all or nothing' attitude and throw in the towel too easily when I have a bad day or week. I neeeeed help!!!
Any supportive friends are very welcome

Sounds like you might be the type of persons who jumps on the scales every few days and jumps off the program if lbs haven't shifted over a week or two.
If you are - weigh yourself once on a proper set of scales then don't go neat them for a month and aim for a low target like 1.5lb a month.0 -
I've been all sorts, daily weigher, weekly, monthly, avoiding them all together!
I've tried monthly weighing but think i need the motivation of a weekly weigh in, but on the other hand if it isn't good news I do get disheartened.
It's all a learning curve! lol.0 -

Looks like we have similar goals and approaches
I started at 176.5 about three weeks ago. For me that was a wake-up call, I'd never gone past 170, but managed to yo-yo my way up Now I'm down to 167, aiming for 150, where I was last year.
