G-Flux a.k.a Eat More - Weigh Less

If you are curious about the phenomenon of eating more to weigh less the article linked below may shed some light on it if you are engaging in high levels of exercise at the same time.

In short it seems that eating a lot and exercising a lot at the same time (eat big, train big) has a preferential effect on the way your body looks, its composition and how it performs even though the calorie deficit created is exactly the same as that which would have occurred should you use diet alone to create that deficit or less calories and less exercise.

A few caveats:

1) You still need a calorie deficit. If you think G Flux / High Energy Flux means you can stuff as much food down your gullet as humanly possible simply because you are exercising then forget it.
2) It's eat more, train more not eat less, train more. Slashing calories whilst at the same time trying to exercise yourself into the ground leads to very poor results
3) Over training, or more applicably over reaching for most people will be counter productive so know your limits
4) Some of Berardi's writing is a little out there in my opinion but anecdotally I think there is some truth in this going by my own experiences when I was younger (and much leaner) and that of my friends.
5) You will probably have to eat more carbs. Sorry.

Dude, if there is one person who epitomises this phenomenon it's you.

Go big for the win ;)

I skimmed the first two pages, bump to read later, seems like a straightforward approach with a lot of good info so far. Unfortunately a lot of people are not willing to put so much time into the exercise part of it... it sure did light a fire in me to get off my butt and move, though.

    Thanks for the post. :)
