10 sets of 100 jumping jacks/wk = 1lb weight loss?

I read that if you do 1000 jumping jacks in a week, you will lose 1 pound. I looked it up online and multiple resources say that if you are heavier that you burn more calories. They also each state different numbers so I don't really know how many I am burning and I'm confused. I am 200ish lbs and I have been doing 300 jumping jacks a day.
I read about people doing 1000 jumping jacks in 1 set and the idea just blows me away! I want to be able to do that someday.
