Too much water?

Two days ago, I increased my water intake from basically 2 glasses a day to about 60 fl oz a day. I noticed at my weigh-in this morning that I have gained 2 pounds.....2 pounds that me two weeks to lose! I know that this increase is not really a weight gain, but I was just wondering if it's normal to gain some "weight" after increasing my water intake and whether or not this will balance out in a few days. Thanks!

same boat here. I increased to 64 oz a day....gained 4 lbs since last weigh in...but I know its water weight because my wedding ring is tighter. I do my "official" weigh in tomorrow and "hope" that I have flushed all the liquid (lol)

Yes, your body is used to dehydration, your kidneys got lazy over time. It's like having your body used to 5 grams of fiber a day. If you start taking 30 grams all of a sudden, you may have side effects like bloating and gas. It's the WTF moment of the body. Your body will adapt in a few days indeed.
