Electronic cigarette, it's helping the sweet cravings

I've never smoked and still don't, but I'm diabetic and have terrific sugar cravings. I decided to give an electronic cigarette a try. I had to order separate blank/empty cartridges and fill them myself with non-nicotine liquid. I used Youtube.com videos to learn how to do it.
I mix chocolate no-nicotine liquid and strawberry no-nicotine liquid. I get a nice sweet taste with the water vapor.:smokin:
I really like it. It's called vaping instead of smoking. There is propylene glycol (PG), a food/medicine additive, in the liquid. It irritates my throat a little, so I'm going to mix my own liquid using vegetable glycerin (VG) which is used in baked goods. It's much, much cheaper to mix my own liquid and fill empty carts than buy no-nicotine carts already filled or buy already made up liquid.
I find the PG kinda loosens up the phlegm in my lungs (I've had a cold). I read that it's used in inhalers. The PG and VG makes the "vapor" that you see.
Vaping the e-cig gives my hands and mouth something to do besides nibbling on sweets. When I feel an intense craving, I vape. I also keep sweets out of the house, so I can't get them easily, but my mother also lives here and she'll buy sweets if she sees something she wants at the store. :grumble:
Has anyone else used e-cigs or thought about it to help with hand-to-mouth addiction?
