Hello I am looking for suggestions for inexpensive food/menu ideas for someone with Type II Diabetes. There are 8 members in my household so money is tight. My A1C level is too high and I'd like to get it down before I have lab/blood work done in mid to late September. Even small diet suggestions would be appreciated. I've changed from eating white bread to wheat, from whole milk to 2%, drink lots of water, I choose low fat, reduced fat, sugar free items, etc. when possible. I get in at least 60 minutes of exercise each day, if not more. I suffer from nerve damage to my feet (& hands). My feet hurt constantly 24/7. I am on oral medication for my medical problems. Any suggestions/ideas provided are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
