Spotted **** was originally a suet pudding which was made of drippings and leftovers on board british navy ships. Never had the urge to try it.

In America we avoid spotted **** if possible. I'm thinking it must be something else but heck if I know what.

lol. My best friend ordered it when she was in England. She was in 8th grade and just wanted to say "spotted ****."

    Sounds so weird.

But then again, I'm from a country where they decided to use donuts as the bun for burgers...

I wanted to puke the first time I heard about this one. Almost as bad as the bacon shake/sundae idea. :noway:

OMG, this is a great thread!! Thanks for the laughs!!

Consequently, a couple of my 18 yr old daughter's friends came across a recipe for spotted d**k in a harry potter cookbook and made it for her for her birthday - Said she's now 18, it's time she had some.... I'm sure you can complete the sentence!! LOL!!

I've never seen my dad eat that stuff, but I saw it in the grocery store one day and busted out laughing. Same with Assam Tata tea, like T&A.
