Does Our Body Really "Reset" Every Night?

I just throw this observation out there and hopepfully some experts can help me understand better.
So most of nights I go to bed, with a bit hunger. Next morning, I wake up, like a new person. Where did the hunger go?

if i don't eat right away in the morning the hunger goes away.. i think hunger can come and go?0

Mine definitely doesn't Most of my workouts are after work in the venings. After my workout, I'm not really hungry so I just have a protein shake and something light most of the time. The next morning I'm absolutely starving!!0

There are lots of reasons for hunger. Just because you feel hungry doesn't mean you actually need to eat. It doesn't require sleep to make a "fake" hunger feeling go away; taking a walk, drinking some tea, or otherwise distracting yourself can have the same effect.0

^^This.. your body slows down when your sleeping, then once your awake for a period of time you should get hungry again... Same reason why if you eat a big meal maybe a few hours before you go to bed, and you wake up still feeling full.. same sorta thing.0 -

Well the thing is I normally feel hungry when going to bed...That is what puzzles me.0 -

Because it's habitual hunger, either from snacking before bed or because of your body being used to eating something every X(+/- 1 or 2) hours. I'm pretty sure you get enough sustenance during the day. This is a sad example I know but a kid in a third world country who is severely undernourished will not wake up with the hunger feeling gone in the morning. As electro/biochemical as it gets, we're also creatures of habit.0 -

It's similar to me craving for chicken breast. For my body it doesn't matter where I get the protein from as long as it gets from somewhere but chicken and tuna are my main protein sources so my brain signals to find chicken because that's what it is used to. Not because boiled chicken breast is darn too tasty :laugh:0

But how to explain next morning the hunger went away? Assuming if it's habitual, I would continue feeling that way until something is fed?0
