YES! I've been wanting to do a whole30 but have been putting it off. I'm already paleo (80/20ish) except for occasional alcohol, corn chips and making desserts "paleo-friendly" so I could use a push. Will start after vaca on the 6th. Stoked

I'm up to day four of thirty and loving the challenge!

I was previously eating "Primal" for about a year (as I love cheese and cream and live on coke zero) so it hasn't been easy.
Every day is a little easier though and I've never eaten so much fiber before and feeling good :)

Any feel free to add me always looking for like minded friends :)
  • Hey Cass.. with your prodding and me getting concerned about my diet again / maybe I am not doing something right.. i could try paleo again.. I just am not sure I want to cut out dairy completely again and may need a reminder constantly to eat spinach or some other leafy green.

I just wish I could be handed what I am going to eat instead of trying to figure it out all the time. Paleo has to be so predetermined and planned out. It's hard sometimes when I just want to grab something and go.

I am considering it. I will be on travel August 2nd coming home.. and on the west coast August 1st.. so I can try to eat well while eating out :P

Try the 30 Day Paleo intro from The Food Lovers Kitchen! I just got it, it's only $15 and it's a 30 day meal plan (including breakfast lunch and dinner) WITH weekly shoppings lists. I got it as that extra push for me to commit to Primal/Paleo full time!

I am totally game to join this challenge. However, I can't get much of the information I need without purchasing something. Is there any way to get a list of foods that are acceptable or not? I am very much a person who fully commits, so I would want to know all the details. This definitely sounds like a positive thing for my body - committing to whole foods for 30 days.

Check this link out from nom nom paleo

She documented each day and took pictures of everything she ate when she completed a whole30. There are also tons of recipes on her site that are free. Good luck everyone!

    Hello,

I'd like to give this a go too. I ordered the book and scored the Whole 30 website. Aggie, I emailed you about adding me, etc. The biggest challenge for me will be making meals interesting enough and not cheating with brown rice, ice cream or red wine!

    Cheers,
    Liza

I'm in! I'm excited and totally scared at the same time. I'm Korean and I live on rice and love carbs. Also, one of my go-to meals (and one of my husband's favorites) is chili and in general, I stir-fry almost everything in soy sauce. Beans and soy sauce are on the ban-list, I think. :noway:

But, I'm going to give it a try...

My only thing is I'm not sure if I should start this coming Sunday (need to finish the food I already cooked for the week...gotta enjoy that chili) or if I should wait until after I get back from vacation (Aug 9-13). What do you think?

I started this last Tuesday, so am on Day 8. I'm in!

Feel pretty good, have more energy than usualy, and *ahem* *doffs British reserve* stomach really good which I'm wondering if is to do with cutting out dairy, as was already eating primal.

I essentially started this yesterday so August 1 will be Day 3.

I do make some modifications though including buying regular grocery store meat instead of insisting on the free-range, grain-fed stuff (I know it is better but I am broke!) and I will have the occassional diet soda (maybe 2, 12oz per week).

If you'll accept me with my mods, I'm in!
  • I'm in. I've never done something like this before so I will need a little motivation haha!
  • count me in!

I'm in. I've been primal for 2 years now..... on and off. My inner warrior needs a boost and the sugar queen has been ever so present! Time to run her back to the castle and close the door. Please put me in your group. My email address is zia(at)nehalemtel.net. Let's rock this!

BTW here are a few tips for making it work. On http://www.thefoodee.com/ (http://www.thefoodee.com/?s=whole+30) and http://www.chowstalker.com/ (http://www.chowstalker.com/?bwbps_extnav_gal=29&bwbps_q=whole+30) they have whole 30 recipes that are amazing. Also can't go wrong with the blog "clothes make the girl" over at http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/ . Also Whole 30 group is starting on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/whole30paleo/ And a great group called whole9 that has a facebook page and just published a book on it over at http://www.facebook.com/Whole9.

    here we go!
