I hate Weighing in

It has been almost 2 1/2 months since I've weighed in and I went to the doctor's today to have my yearly exam and the first thing they do is weigh me in and from there on, I couldn't even tell you the rest that happended because I was so focused on my weigh-in. I was so disappointed. I've been working out so hard the past three weeks and I've gone up since my last weigh-in. :*( I hate the scale but I know how important it is to keep track of my weight loss or even WEIGHT GAIN. How do I keep my self focused and not depressed????

I have the same issue. The number on the scale determines my mood for the day...or first couple hours after waking up. Needless to say, I'm trying to avoid the scale ATLEAST until I see a change in my clothes. I promised myself I wouldnt weigh until I felt that change. Unfortunately, this is probably not the way to go...but for my mind and well being obessessing wasnt doing much good for me neither.

Hopefully you get a lot of fresh ideas so I can steal some and use them too! :)

If you have been working out really hard for the last 3 + weeks AND be eating a balanced diet then you shouldnt be depressed or discouraged, because more than likely it is muscle and/or water weight. And your body willl soon balance itself out. Keep doing the right thing. Drink lots and lots of water .No worries Love :flowerforyou:

Stop letting your scale tell you how you should feel. Just stop. Change your mindset. Who cares! It's just weight! Focus on being healthy and how far you've come. Focus on what your body can DO that it couldn't do before. This is a much slower process than you think, and your accomplishments and successes don't start or end with the stupid scale.
