30 day shred or combination of other work outs ??

Has anyone done the 30 day shred by Jillian Micahels and lost their wait that way? Or combimed it with something else?

    I'm doing it right now.. I've completed 17 days of it (not including my off-days and I walk on the treadmill on the weekends at the gym - I started June 27th). I've lost 18 pounds so far.
    A lot of that is the initial water weight I dropped once I changed up my lifestyle, though.
  • Oh wow!! Congrats!!! I have changed my lifestyle dramatically too. Would you say walking 2 miles in the morning and doing the 30 day shred in the afternoon is too much ?

    I definitely wouldn't say it's too much as long as you're eating enough calories throughout the day and getting your protein in.

  • I think adding cardio to the 30 day shred is okay just as long as you don't completely wear yourself out. Just remember to Eat! I do 30-40 minutes of the stair master or eliptical in the morning right before I do the shred. I have taken breaks though when I'm too sore to even walk up stairs. That's when I know I overdid it.     I'm doing the 30 day shred now also and today marks 1/2 way through. I am also doing Stage 1 in the New Rules of Lifting for Women book for strength training and I add 20 minutes elliptical HIIT. I measured before starting the shred and at the end of level 1, so at day 10 and I was down 4.75 inches.
