I'm going to preface this by saying that I don't hate Body by Vi shakes or anyone that is using them to help lose weight. If it works for you- do it!

However, STOP trying to market them to me and everyone else on the face of the Earth! Seriously!

Someone just "shared" this on my Facebook wall.

This was a Body by Vi 90 day challenge picture... The claim was that this happened in 90 days via the Body by Vi plan.

THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN 90 DAYS AND IT DEFINITELY DIDN'T HAPPEN THROUGH DIET ALONE!

I replied to her saying this:
"There is no way that this change occurred in 90 days and there is no way it occurred just with shakes alone. Also, it's nearly impossible to gain muscle while maintaining the calorie deficit you need to lose weight... so I doubt he would be following the Body by Vi diet plan if he developed muscles like that. People that body build go through bulk and cut cycles. They have to eat more to put on muscle and subsequently fat and then they cut weight by cutting calories while maintaining a high protein diet and doing plenty of strength training to retain their muscle mass but cut their body fat percentage"

She deleted my comment.

I deleted her but not before seeing her post this (skip this part if you don't want to read a bunch of mindless drivel filled with debunked diet myths):

Um, seriously? How much misinformation do you have to provide to sell a product!

    what's really funny is you can have healthy protein filled breakfasts without using the shake at all. But, in that paragraph they don't seem to be providing misinformation (though I don't know the nutritional content of their shakes). This might be just what someone needs to refocus themselves on how it feels to be satisfied with a large amount of protein. It seems like another version of slim fast, might be more filling.

    And I agree! Tired of seeing those advertisements posted by "friends" on facebook like spam. And yeah those photos can be misleading haha.

    This is a myth. Eating times do not really matter.
