As a beginner trying to get into the groove of working out, what's the best workout for novice person with little motivation? I really want to increase my workout plan like I use to do when I first learned I was prediabetic but I feel as if I have been defeated. All suggestions are welcomed! I am willing to try it all, but I guess you can say I have a defeatist personality!

Do something fun! Swimming, basketball, strength training...if you enjoy it it won't feel so much like exercise.0

Well I kinda have a love/hate relationship with exercise. I'm totally out of shape!! I just started walking on the treadmill. 15-20 min at first. Now I'm up to an hour or more... and ready to start the c25k program. Just start moving and you'll build strength and endurance.0

I am just getting back into working out. I was finding it hard to fit it into my schedule. What has worked for me this summer is taking walks, swimming in the pool with the kids when I take them swimming, or planning days out with the family where I know I will do a lot of walking. Like going to an amusement park that we have passes at, walking at the mall, or just anything where I know I will burn calories. I am taking it slowly because I have been out of shape. I can tell you that I look forward to working out now because I know that I will have extra calories I can eat during the day. If get low on calories midday I can workout for an hour in the swimming pool, take a class at the gym or take a walk depending on my schedule for the day.0
