Chilli Verde (Yum)
Its pour rain here in Northern California and I thought what would be good on such a yucky Day. Hum Chile Verda. I have been making this recipe for years and I just figured out the calories per serving (wow its pretty low so I wanted to share it with you all so here is my recipe for Chili verde.
Ingredients:
Pork loin (chops), 12 oz (Chunked)
La Victoria Green Chile Salsa, Mild, I Jar
*Green Chiles 4 oz can diced
Onions, raw, whole onion chunked
Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
1 cup water
Heat Oil in a deep pot (I use a cast iron dutch oven)
Add cubed pork to hot oil and brown. (you can use ant cut of pork I perfer loin chop or tenderloin roast)
Add salsa green chiles and chunked onion.
Add one cup water
reduce to a simmer and let cook about 2 and a half hours or a bit more if you like
Salt and pepper to taste
Makes 4 servings (and they are big servings too)
