Food for late night cravings?

So I have a totally unpredictable work schedule. Some days I only work 6am to10am and the next I'll wok 2pm to 11pm. This makes it super hard for me to getting into ant kind of eating habits, but nights like tonight when I dont walk in my door until about 11:30 I am starving. I've been at work, working hard but I dont want to eat if I'm just about to crawl in bed. Any advise?

    There are no hard and fast rules about the times you have to eat - if you work late then you need to eat late.

    Can you take something to work to have during a break so you aren't starving when you get home? If not, then plan something for a meal/snack when you get home. Try out a few different things to see what works best for you at that time, the only real reason not to eat just before bed is if you don't sleep well with a full stomach.

    In general I suggest that you plan meals and snacks for the day and then eat them whenever your schedule allows. That way you know WHAT you have available to eat and you can fit them in however it suits day to day.
