Rest day or forge ahead?

I just finished up Firm Express yesterday and I'm planning on doing 30 Day Shred next. Since that is 30 days in a row without rest I'm wondering if I should take today as a rest day and start tomorrow, or just go with it and start today. My last rest day was last Saturday, but I do take daily walks with my dog and kids so even a 'rest' day is still semi-active.
