What has surprised you the most?

Even though I still have a very long way to go I'm surprised how much more energy I have. I thought for a fat person I had a lot of energy. The healthier foods I've been eating have increased my energy twice fold. I used to drag my butt out of bed, now I jump right up even before my alarm. I used to plop down in my chair now I sit, I used to almost die tying my shoes now I can actually breathe. Such little changes but ones that are important. Keep at it you will lose...the weight will come off. Good Luck to All

How right you are!!! I am actually excited for Friday weigh in. I have had a couple great weeks and I know any week could be a very small loss BUT if I stick with it --- the weight does come off. Every day there are those "oh so little changes"
I wil be spending the night in a hotel room with 2 girfriends. I realized this morning that I don't Wheeze any more when laying down!!!!

The fact I am outpacing my kids when I walk and they are huffing and puffing trying to catch up to me or to stay with me.

How much better I sleep, how much more energy I have during the day...

And how much better my clothes look! I may not be losing lots of weight but I'm losing inches.

How truely easy it has been for me to stick with it. I mean don't get me wrong I cheat now and then. But I had tried the low carb/no carb thing...quit after a week or two because it was too hard. Tried appetite suppresants (sp?) well I failed there too because I can't remember to finish friggin antibiotics what makes you think I can remember to take a pill 30 min before I eat, especially since some days I don't know when i am going to get to eat.

But this....this has been easy in comparison. I have stuck with it since April, lost 16 lbs so far. So yea I fall off the wagon here and there but it's so easy to get back on again!!!
