Sit vs Stand Calories Burned

I found this interesting article about how calories are calculated:

I remember reading about a guy who was interested in increasing his non-exercise-activity calories, which they say make up 30% of calories burned (the majority of calories burned being basic metabolic functions, ie, making your body function). Anyway, this guy had re-designed his office and living space, so that he was standing and walking more - he didn't have a desk chair, instead he had a desk you could stand at.

It's a good way to think about your day - do you have the kind of life where you stand mostly or sit? Something so easy as standing (with the right shoes!) can get you more calories burned!
