I heard it is okay and somewhat good to eat the calories I burn off by working out. So I eat them but then I go over in my carbs, fats, and MOSTLY my sodium! Is that okay, normal, am I doing something wrong?? Any advice would be great! thanks!

  • It is good to eat your exercise calories. if your body is too much in deficit you will end up slowing down your metabolism because your body thinks its starving...

You might want to check how you have your percentages set....there may be something off there..for example, the fiber is almost always too low-- women should be getting between 25-35 grams each day.

As long as you are eating healthy and you are within your calories that is the most important, but what you eat is important too...

    1. The sugar you are eating should be coming from whole fruits and vegetables
    2. Your carbs should be coming from whole grains (less white flour, white rice, limit processed sugar)
    3. Make sure your fats are good fats...olive oil, avocado, flax seed, nut oils... there are sites out there that tell you what percentage of your diet should be fats, but probably not more than 20-25%
    4. This is a hard one for me-- The sodium will slow down how much weight you're losing in that you'll retain water. Keep an eye on that....deli meats, and canned soups will kill you. Drink lots of water, that will help flush the salt out of your system...

There are my by no means expert, but IMHO advice....
