    have a few more designs in my head, but haven't drawn them up yet.

    That's amazing. Being completely unartistic myself I would need an artist to bring vague hand wavy ideas to fruition.

    I think it has more to do with what tattoo you are getting.

    If you get a douche tattoo, 30.
    A sentimental one, never.
    Sleeves and murals, 40.
    Nekkid ladies or gambling - 50

    Now, IF I do get one, it ABSOLUTLY wont be a lame "Jersey Shore" tat.
    No barbed wire or tribe bands.
    For a long time, I have pictured a hammerhead shark starting from my left elbow and swimming up to about the middle of my arm and then above that, a SCUBA diver swimming up and away from it to my shoulder.
    Lots of colors.

    And I agree about the tribal or barbed wire. Though I haven't seen Jersey Shore, I just intuitively know...

    you get ink for yourself. where you place it could mean nothing, it could mean EVERYTHING!!! but, it's for YOU!!!

    your age should be of no significance, even if you're getting a tattoo for the first time.....

    Absolutely. Nekkid ladies up to 49. If you have her holding a Royal Flush, even better. Just make sure it's done before your birthday, or else it's a midlife crisis. :happy:

    I just got #3 2 weeks ago, and just got my nose pierced a week ago, I'm 38 and was asked by my family if I was going through a midlife crisis....I just ignored it, I did it because I wanted to and that's all.
