I am in desperate need of low calorie BUT very filling recipes? What do ya'll eat when you're hungry and need something filling, without wasting all of your calories?

I would recommend going through all the recipe threads that are already on this site...everyone posting has calories in mind!
But something that I've been making a lot of for filling low-cal meals are shiritake noodles. (again, there are a lot of posts about these). I think it tastes just like pasta...just make sure you rinse it thoroughly. The type you can find at most supermarkets is made out of tofu and it's only 40 calories for the entire bag (about 2.5 cups). I tend to just throw in whatever veggies I have around, maybe some chicken or chicken sausage, and some sort of sauce (Thai chili or peanut sauce?) You can make a really filling lunch/dinner for easily under 300 calories.0 -
#1: For a simple, on the go, power food, I just eat a banana. Filling, sweet, and the perfect size snack!
#2: I altered the Betty Crocker Banana bread recipe by substitiuting Splenda for sugar and Light Margarine for Butter/shortening. Then I made them in a muffin tin. One recipe=16 muffins. The regular calorie=210, with the substitutions=112 and tastes great!
#3: Love the crackerfuls for a snack. 140 cals and filling.
Hope this helps.0
