Started couch to 5k

I was very active & have lost over 150# but since September I have gone through a move & major life changes and have gained 40# . I just started Cto5K on Monday & have completed week 1, I had gotten away for fitness for about 4 months, though I am not on the couch level I thought it was a great way to get started.
Any advice on getting started in a new area, with no friends or family? There are gyms in the area but I attended/ taught cardio boxing for 4 yrs & can't seem to find a class anywhere; I miss it like crazy. I need to get refocused, I refuse to go back to where I was. My head is ready to get back on track, but my body has decided it likes the couch.

Make it a pleasant experience that you look forward to.
Treat yourself to some new music for your mp3 player, find a nice park to do your C25K so you get the mood boost of being outdoors, wear your favorite workout outfit.

Same with healthy eating. Treat yourself to some different varieties of fresh vegetables and fruits, take time to set the table, really enjoy it.

i just finished week 3 yesterday, and tomorrow it ramps up a notch. I previously did the program at the end of last year, but struggled with a knee issue, and "lost it." YOU CAN DO IT.....

Running outside with just me and my music has helped me get through each run. Some people do podcasts, but I like my own playlist and just have the C25K program running in the background so it tells me when to walk/run and such. The program is great to follow! I finished Week 7 day 2 yesterday and am running my first 5k tonight! I'm really excited about it. I've pretty much been on my own because I started this journey the week my husband left for Basic Military Training. He tries to be supportive, but I can't wait until fit activities are something we can do together.

If you would like support, feel free to add me!
