I am a 22 year old female trying to lose around 40 pounds. I took a bad spill off of a horse last winter and broke 5 bones, including my hip and gained about 30ish pounds. I am 5'6" and before my accident I was 155 pounds. I am around 180 now and my goal weight is 140ish. I am eating a ton of fruits and veggies and I walk a ton. I am also riding my horses nearly everyday. Any pointers to help jump start my diet to help me meet my goal? Thanks in advance!!!

Veggies are good. Fruit you might want to limit as higher in calories and sugars. Get enough protein. MFP sets that far to low IMHO. I aim for 80 + grams per day, usually breaking 100 every day.
Protein and fat are good for you. Fill you up.0
