    Hi Arlene,

I'm new as well. I have 70 lbs to lose. I'm excited to start seeing a difference. i've lost 5 so far. Two years ago I lost 40 lbs and felt awesome......then gained it all back in the last year. I'm a single mom, work two jobs, (one is a dreadful desk job) go to school full time........I was using all that as an excuse to NOT take care of myself. My mom who is 58 recently lost 80 lbs!!! She lives across the country and visited two weeks ago. She looks fabulous! So, I decided to stop blaming my laziness on THINGS around me start taking control for myself.

Anyway, enough about me. Welcome! I just know how amazing you'll feel about yourself when you start losing. I know I will. I will try to "friend" you but I don't really know what I'm doing. ;)

I am new too! I haven't yet written an introduction. I have about 70 pounds I'd like to lose after using so many excuses for staying where I am for the last 8 years when I first gained that 70 pounds. I joined the site nearly a month ago and today I'm really getting started, finally. This site looks to be full of support and inspiration and hopefully that's the last thing I'll need to really do this, finally.

I'm new too. I've been on MFP for a week now. The people here are so friendly and supportive, I think you will love it here. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like.
